School of Fish On Ice and Trap Shooting
The Lac Qui Parle Lake Association is a proud sponsor of youth activities in both the Lac Qui Parle Valley and Montevideo School Districts.
School of Fish On Ice — Fall 2013/2014
Mike Frisch returned to present the "School of Fish On Ice" program at LQPV and Montevideo High Schools. Students learned ice fishing basics — knot tying, slip bobber rigs, and on-ice electronics.
All participants received a rod/reel combo, t-shirt, snack bag, and fishing book.
Trap Shooting — 2014
In their second year, both LQPV and Montevideo participated in the Minnesota State High School Trap Shooting League. Both teams sent shooters to the State Tournament.
